YCC HOSTING NATIONAL YOUTH CONFERENCE

On September 21-25, 2007, Youth Concil of Cambodia will hosting a natioanal youth conference at Golden Sand Hotel, Sihanouk Ville. The Conference will participated by hundreds of YCC youth networks from 09 targets provinces and various NGOs partners with sponsored by USAID IRI and LSU through Forum Syd.

This is 3rd time that YCC celebrated the great event for youths to share their experiences and knowledges.

YCC Organized Anti-Corruption Workshop In Kampong Speu

Kampong Speu, Cambodia. On June 25, 2007, YCC in sponsored by USAID through Pact-Cambodia has organized a discussion on “Public Opinion and The needs of Anti Corruption Law” at Thmey Pagoda, Rokathom commune Chbarmorn district. There was 170 participants (59 girls) participated in the event. Mr. Sok Sophon (District Governor), Mr. Yong Kim Eng (President of PDP) and Mrs. Huot Rattanak (Representative of Pact) was invited as speakers. The discussion was reported by Radio Free Asia and VOD on June 25, 2007.

2,005,500 Riel Collected By YCC Youth Networks In 1 Hour

YCC youth networks has launched Fundraising Activity in their own province (09 target provinces) to support humanitarian activity such as:- Providing training kids to student in primary school, Play ground for orphanages, Helping poor people etc,. About 2,005,500 riel was raised by youth networks and distribute to those institution.

YCC Networks In Battambang Raising Fund For Poor People in Provincial Hospital

Battambang, Cambodia.On June 09, 2007, 20 YCC youth networks (11 girls) have collecting money from charity in Battambang town to support poor people who stay in Battambang hospital (Peth Thom). The money 254,300 Riel was distributed to 13 poor people (20,000 riel/each). Be notified that this is first humanitarian activity in Battambang province which initiated by young people.

There was 207 participants (64 YCC networks, 20 girls) participated in the event. H.E Keo Remy (MP), H.E El Soy (Governor), Mr. Yong Kim Eng (President of PDP) and Mr. Men Sokthey (Representative of CITA) was invited as speakers.
